Wildlife Week

Take a walk on the wild side and become a naturalist of the flora and fauna that inhabit the various ecosystems of Wisconsin. Learn about amphibians, reptiles, fish, birds, and mammals, while exploring nearly 550 acres of the Bethel Horizons property, from the upland prairies to the wetlands and ponds of the valley. Soap Making Workshop The Cold Process Method

Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm

Workshop Fee: $65 plus $20 for silicone soap mold, includes lunch

Learn the art of making lovely bar soap from olive, vegetable and coconut oils. The cold process mixes warm oils with sodium hydroxide (lye) and a chemical process called saponification results, turning the mixture into soap. Discovering Art & Nature

This unique new camp is a blend between two staples of Bethel Horizons - the Adamah Clay Studios and the Horizons Nature Center. Bike & Canoe

Go on a 3-day trip of biking and canoeing on the Elroy-Sparta Trail and Kickapoo River. Monday morning the group will leave for two days of biking on the trail with its old railroad tunnels. On Wednesday, the group will meander down the Kickapoo River with a lunch stop at Wildcat Mountain State Park. While away from Horizons, campers will stay in tents at the Tunnel Trail Campground.
