Needle Felting - Felt a Small Cotswold Sheep

Join Tami Bower owner of Windridge Fibers.  In this course you will learn the basics of needle felting sculpture, explore the tools needed and wool options for felting 3-D sculptures. We will begin with a basic wire armature, then using wool we will create a sculpture of a Cotswold breed sheep. The Cotswold is a rare heritage English breed with long curly locks. Bring your family for an art-filled weekend at Adamah Art Studio!

Join in simple clay projects, try the potter's wheel or hand-build with clay.  Try a simple painting class or bring your camera on a guided hike and learn about nature photography.  The studio is open for play and  group projects!

Pinch Pottery with Michael Imes

Whether you’re a beginning, intermediate or advanced pincher, you will be able to learn from Michael’s hands-on workshop. Participants will learn about the history of pinch pottery making, and explore form, texture, and archetypal gestures. Beginning demonstrations will cover methods of opening, pinching basic shapes (bowls and cups), and experimenting with texture and approaches to decoration. Discovering Art in Nature Presents Native Landscaping

A collaboration between Adamah Clay Studios and Bethel Horizons Nature Center.

This fun- and fact-filled workshop will enlighten you about the many fascinating aspects of native landscaping. Learn about subjects such as wildflower gardens, habitat restoration, and landscaping with native plants. In the afternoon, use natural materials to create ornaments and decorations that will benefit both native birds, insects, and the environment.

Discovering Art in Nature Presents Creating Sundials

A collaboration between Adamah Clay Studios and Bethel Horizons Nature Center.

Participants will spend the day exploring the Old Valley Trail while learning about the sun dial, the earliest time telling device. Topics include Sundial history, design, and positioning, along with some insights into Earth-Sun geometry. The afternoon will be spent constructing garden Sundials of your own, with tips on how to use them and where to place them.
