March 26, 2020, 9 a.m. - March 29, 2020, 7 p.m.Share on Facebook
Witness the migration of 500 thousand Sandhill Cranes and 10 million waterfowl as we take a van trip to central Nebraska’s Platte River Valley and Rainwater Basin to view what Forbes Magazine named the #1 birdwatching spectacle in the world. We hope to also see Whooping Cranes, Prairie Chickens booming and early arriving shorebirds as well as absorbing some of the area’s unique pioneer history. We’ll visit Rowe Sanctuary, the Rainwater Basin, Fort Kearney, Crane Meadows Nature Center, Pioneer Village, the Great Platte River Archway, and other points of interest. Reservations are required and space is limited. Eric Volden will lead the trip and is uniquely familiar with the Platte River valley, having lived there for many years. Call (608)574-1992 for additional information and to make reservations. Cost of $525/person includes meals, lodging, transportation and admission fees. Minimum of 4 paid participants for the trip to go. Reservations required by March 8th.
