Volunteer & Teacher-Naturalist Info
We are truly blessed with a great group of volunteers and teacher-naturalists who unselfishly share their knowledge and enthusiasm while inspiring participants to love and respect God's creation. We greatly appreciate all the hard work and commitment they bring to Bethel Horizons and its programs.

Become a Teacher Naturalist at Bethel Horizons.
Teacher-Naturalists are leaders, organizers, teachers, and most of all inspirers. They are most active in the spring and fall providing elementary and middle school groups with rewarding outdoor experiences. Experience isn't required as training will be offered.

What do Teacher-Naturalists do?
They help make Nature Center programs possible for more children, adults and families by sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm as they conduct or assist with programs about the natural environment.

How much time does it take?
Bethel Horizons staff appreciate and utilize any time you can give, whether an hour, a day or a season. Anticipate a rewarding experience.

How can I get started?
Call the Nature Center (608) 935-5885, fill in the form, or stop in at Bethel Horizons, located 7 miles north of Dodgeville. We will provide training either individually or in a group.

Enjoy a wild experience! Learn new skills. Share your love of nature. Make new friends. Meet congenial people. Spark young imagination. Earn some extra cash (TNs receive a $50 stipend/day for helping with scheduled field trips). Mostly, have fun!
